ALBI Grade Calculator for Hepatocellular Carcinoma
The Albumin-Bilirubin, or ALBI, grade estimates liver function in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma using serum albumin and bilirubin.
ALBI Score:
Clinical note:
This calculator is for educational and clinical-support use only.
It should not replace clinical judgement, staging systems, treatment
guidelines, or specialist assessment.
Formula
ALBI score =
(log10 bilirubin [µmol/L] × 0.66) + (albumin [g/L] × -0.0852)
Grade cutoffs
- Grade 1: ALBI score ≤ -2.60
- Grade 2: ALBI score > -2.60 and ≤ -1.39
- Grade 3: ALBI score > -1.39
