SEDAN was designed for patients treated with IV thrombolysis and is not intended as a stand-alone decision rule.

Examples: hypoattenuation, obscuration of lentiform nucleus or Sylvian fissure, loss of basal ganglia outline/insular ribbon, or sulcal effacement.
