Apfel Score Calculator for PONV
The Apfel Score estimates the risk of postoperative nausea and vomiting using four independent risk factors. Each “Yes” answer scores 1 point.
Clinical note: This tool is for educational and clinical decision-support use only.
It does not replace clinician judgment. PONV prevention should also consider procedure type,
anesthetic plan, patient comorbidities, contraindications, and local guidelines.
