Assesses balance performance and helps identify fall-risk concerns in older adults.
Score each task using the standard BBS 0–4 scale: 0 = lowest performance and
4 = highest performance. Select the lowest applicable score for each task.

Clinical note: The BBS should be administered using the standard protocol by an appropriately trained health professional. Use appropriate guarding and clinical judgement. A BBS score should be interpreted alongside mobility, medication, vision, cognition, prior falls and environmental risk factors.
