AAP Pediatric Hypertension Calculator
Classifies a pediatric blood pressure reading using the American Academy of Pediatrics 2017 guideline. Ages 1–12 use sex-, age-, and height-based BP thresholds. Ages ≥13 use fixed adolescent thresholds.
Clinical safety note: this tool classifies a reading. The AAP diagnosis of hypertension requires auscultatory-confirmed BP readings at or above the hypertensive threshold on 3 different visits, and clinical judgment is required.
