About the CholeS Score

What it predicts

The probability that an elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy will take more than 90 minutes.

How to interpret

  • 0–3: low score group
  • 3.5–8: intermediate score group
  • >8: high score group

Important limitation

The model was developed for elective surgery and should not be applied to acute or emergency cholecystectomy.
