Fractional Excretion of Sodium (FENa): %
Please provide valid positive values for all inputs. Urine Creatinine cannot be zero.
Interpretation of FENa:
  • FENa < 1%: Suggests prerenal azotemia (kidneys are trying to conserve sodium and water due to decreased blood flow).
  • FENa > 2%: Suggests intrinsic renal failure (e.g., acute tubular necrosis), where the kidneys are unable to conserve sodium effectively.
  • FENa between 1-2%: Indeterminate, may require further evaluation.

Note: FENa may be misleading in certain conditions (e.g., diuretic use, chronic kidney disease).
