Predicts organ failure in acute pancreatitis.
Modified Marshall Score Calculator
About the Calculator
In the 2012 revised Atlanta classification of acute pancreatitis, it is suggested that three organ systems should be assessed to define organ failure: respiratory, cardiovascular, and renal. Using the Modified Marshall scoring system, organ failure is defined as a score of $\ge 2$ for one of these three organ systems.
The Modified Marshall scoring system is noted to have the advantages of being simple to administer, having universal applicability across international centers, as well as the ability to stratify disease severity easily and objectively.
Note: The specific numerical criteria for each score are based on commonly accepted medical definitions of the Modified Marshall Score.
Select the most appropriate score for each organ system:
1. Respiratory System (PaO2/FiO2 ratio)
2. Renal System (Serum Creatinine)
3. Cardiovascular System (Systolic BP or pH)
