Hasford Score Calculator for CML Prognosis

The Hasford Score (also called the Euro score) is a prognostic tool used in chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) to stratify newly diagnosed patients—mainly in chronic phase—into low, intermediate, or high-risk groups. It was originally developed in the interferon-alpha era to predict survival and help treatment decisions.

Hasford (Euro) Score Calculator – CML Prognosis

Hasford (Euro) Score Calculator

For use by healthcare professionals in newly diagnosed CML.
Age factor: 0 if < 50 years, 1 if ≥ 50 years.
Use the maximum palpable distance in centimetres.
Basophil factor: 0 if < 3%, 1 if ≥ 3%.
Enter the value in 10⁹/L (e.g. 350 ×10⁹/L → enter 350).
Platelet factor: 0 if < 1500, 1 if ≥ 1500.
This tool implements the original Hasford (Euro) formula and risk thresholds (low < 780; intermediate 780–1480; high > 1480). It is intended for educational use by trained health professionals and must not replace clinical judgment, institutional protocols, or current CML guidelines. Patients should not use this calculator for self-diagnosis or treatment decisions.
